Increasing BIPOC Student Pathways to Leading Edge Engineering Programs - A Regional Approach with LSAMPs at the Core
November 3, 2023
Alan Peterfreund and Richard Harris
Our workshop is designed as a collaborative space where we can learn from each other and potentially identify action opportunities associated with expanding the number of BIPOC men and women who earn PhDs in Engineering.
The first activity will be an equity walk, where participants will engage with provocative data and information on display in the workshop room
A brief introduction to the goals, objectives and approach will set the tone and intentionality for our workshop.
Then, we will facilitate a discussion with approximately 20 minutes on each of the questions and sub themes listed below. During this time we will draw on participant knowledge and experience.
We request participants share through this workshop page on Whova and/or bring with them any pertinent resources, programs, publications, websites or other information. If you are a graduate student, we extend a special invitation as your lived experience will greatly enhance the conversations.
